FBM provides a comprehensive benefits program to support eligible employees and their families. The information below outlines who can enrol in benefits and when coverage begins.

| Employee Eligibility | You are eligible if you are a full-time employee working at least 30 hours per week and reside in Canada. |
| Waiting Period | Benefits begin after 3 months of continuous employment. |
| Spousal Eligibility | Includes your legal spouse or a common-law partner who has lived with you for at least 12 consecutive months. |
| Child Eligibility | Includes unmarried natural, adopted, or step-children under age 21, or under age 25 if they are full-time students. |
| Evidence of Insurability (EOI) | Required for Optional Benefits (such as Optional Life) or if you apply for coverage more than 31 days after becoming eligible. |
| Late Application | If you apply after the eligibility window, coverage will not begin until Manulife approves your medical evidence. |
| Termination of Benefits | Coverage generally ends at retirement, age 70, or when employment terminates, whichever occurs first. |
As a benefits eligible employee, you must enrol in benefits within 3 months of your hire date. For example, if you were hired on April 1, you will have until July 1 to complete your benefits enrollment in Dayforce.

The choices you make when you first enrol in FBM benefits are in effect for the remainder of the plan year. Once you are enrolled in FBM benefits, you cannot make changes to your benefits unless you experience a qualifying life event during the plan year.
